Account Settings
Manage your OpenVenue profile, update your information, and customize your account settings.
Accessing Your Profile
To access account settings:
- Sign in to your account
- Click **Profile** in the top navigation
- Or navigate directly to `/profile`
Profile Information
Viewing Your Profile
Your profile page displays:
- **Name** - Your first and last name
- **Email** - Your account email address
- **Member since** - When you joined OpenVenue
Updating Your Name
- Navigate to your profile page
- Update your first and/or last name
- Click **Save Changes**
You'll see a confirmation when your changes are saved.
Changing Your Password
Keep your account secure by updating your password regularly.
How to Change Your Password
- Go to your profile page
- Find the **Password** or **Security** section
- Enter your new password
- Confirm the new password
- Click **Update Password**
Password Requirements
Your password must:
- Be at least 8 characters long
- Include uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character
Password Tips
- ✅ Use a unique password for OpenVenue
- ✅ Consider using a password manager
- ❌ Don't share your password with others
- ❌ Don't use easily guessable passwords
Email Settings
Your email is used for:
- Account login
- Booking confirmations
- Important notifications
Viewing Your Email
Your email address is displayed on your profile page.
Changing Your Email
To update your email:
- Contact support with your request
- Verify your identity
- Your email will be updated
*For security, email changes may require additional verification.*
Signing Out
To sign out:
- Click **Sign out** in the top navigation
- You'll be returned to the homepage
